Lost and Found in Korea!
Hello! Have you ever lost something while you are traveling abroad?
Today I will share you experience in Korea!
I just lost my bag and I was able to get it back :D!
I was taking a bus infront of my sister's house. It was Gangnamgu-cheong, Seoul(강남구청, 서울).
My sister and I took a lots of selfie picture on the bus and at the bus station. We took the city bus from Gangnamgu-cheong(강남구청) to Prima Hotel in Cheongdam(청담). It was approximately only 3 or 4 stations away. We sat on the bus and I put my bag on the seat next to the window so when I got off the bus, I forgot to bring my bag with me! ㅠ_ㅠ that was a very bad mistake!! But as soon as I got off the bus, I noticed that I forgot my bag on the bus but the bus is already gone :((( I was very shocked... I had so many important things inside my bags.... First, I took a taxi to follow the bus....... LOLL it was a very stupid idea!!!!! Because the bus will go very far and taxi in Korea is very expensive! So I stopped and searched on the internet of how to do. Then there was a call center for foreigner that we can call for help... So I called them then she gave me another number especially for lost and found! They could speak English :)!! So I called them and I told them that I forgot my bag on the bus. They connected the phone to the bus company and translate what the bus company said. They asked me what time did I take the bus from where and when and also where I got off. I looked back as the selfie pictures that I took to see the exact time! See! Selfie pictures helped!!;) We also needed to tell the color of the bus because in Korea the public bus is divided by colors. And we needed to tell them what the bag looks like and what are inside. After that, the bus company asked me if I have any Korean friends because if they found then they will call them. I gave them my Korean friend's number... However, I already thought that I won't gonna get it back since it is very hard. There were many bus in Seoul and I didn't even remember the motor vehicle registration.... There were many important things inside my bag... My bag and wallet were even cost more expensive then the money inside my walletㅜ_____ㅜ I also had my event ticket that cost almost 10,000 Baht... So I called my mom to seize all the credit cards as well as the ATM cards..... Luckily, I left my Korean ATM card with my friend! But after 4-5 hours, my friend called me that they already found my bag!!!!!!! My friend gave me the number. She said I need to call them and they will tell the place where to collect it back! It is better that you ask someone else to talk to you in Korean. I called them and it is the Bus station center and they said they can speak a little English and they can't. I didn't understand their English... It is okay if you understand a little Korean because my Korean is not that good too! Hahahah I asked the owner of Dunkin Donut Cafe that I always go to write down the place of the bus station center for me. It was actually the last station of the bus. It opened 24 hours!! So I quickly took the bus to the last station. It took almost 2 hours to go there..... Hahahah then I finally got my bag backㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅜ everything inside my bag were all still there! They will ask you to sign that you already got it back. There were a lots of name lists of people who lost their things and signed when they got it back. I'm so imppressed of how they really work to help people like thisㅠㅡㅠ Then I also met the driver who found my bag. He is so kind!! I said thank you to him so many times. Hahah. He even bring me to the bus to go back home.... And that was my experience! If you lost something in Korea! Just try to do like I did before giving up! ;)
