Yeouido Island and Han River #SSinSeoul

During the summer trip #SSinSeoul to Korea with my friends (Jaja, Yim, Sandy, and Fern), we went to go chill out around Yeouido(여의도)! Even though the weather was really hot but it was kinda chilly at Yeouido Hangang Park. We went for a picnic from morning until afternoon~ It was fun running and playing around the park. I recommended you to go there if you have no plan and wanting a one fine day in Seoul!

Yeouido Island is a large island in Han River(한강). Yeouido is in the heart of Yeongdeungpo-gu district. It is Seoul's main business, financial, government, and TV broadcast. Even though it is an island but every areas in Yeouido are all connected to public transportation such as bus, subway, and taxi. The most popular attraction is Yeouido Hangang Park(여의도 한강공원). It is a park beside Han River(한강). Han River is a very important river for Koreans. The river runs through areas in Seoul and other parts in Korea from east to west. It is a historical river. It used as a trade route and protection against attract. It is common for Koreans to go chilling at Yeouido Hangang Park. The park has many activities. It has rental service for bicycle, Jet Ski, cruise, and even picnic. The entrance to the park is free. Once I went there in summer, I saw many people were camping there too! XD It is a very large park. We can also find some free concerts there too. Many multi-purpose sport fields are also there! There are plenty for all ages to do. It is best to go picnic or chilling out with family and friend. Couple can also enjoy the day there as well. The theme park is also a part of this park. It is made as an outdoor swimming pool in summer while they will turn it into ice skating rink during winter. You can enjoy firework festival in autumn and cherry blossom in spring. You can go there all rounds of season!

Take Purple Subway Line 5 to Yeouinaru Station, exit 2 or 3. You can see the park when you walk out of the exit.

Another popular place in Yeouido Island is the KBS(Korean Broadcasting System) broadcast station. You can go watch idols' live for free at the music-broadcasting hall. You can also go listening to the radio as there are areas provided for audiences in front of the radio studio. KBS broadcasting station also has an exhibition hall for visitors. It offers group tour inside the hall too. The hall includes a Hologram Corner, TV 3D Experience Corner, and Character Photo Zone. I once went there to watch recorded show too! The KBS hall was very modern. You can see how the production works there. I saw the real live show and how the producer, cameraman, and staffs were working. It was very interesting. Unfortunately, you can't record video or take picture inside the KBS. For more information, visit office.kbs.co.kr/hall.
